The Stranger- Part 2

You have three puzzles that you can do in any order.

This section includes one sheet market “Waffles” with 9 waffle looking tiles, a sheet marked “Radio” with two Radio station sheets and a transparency, and a sheet marked “Toy Car”

Each waffle stack will have a small, medium, and large waffle. Arrange the waffles so that they spell the words. Try different combinations of waffles  if words don’t make sense.

The waffles will stacked with largest waffles being on the bottom, the medium waffle being stacked on the largest, and then the smallest stacked on the medium waffle. The words on the waffles will be read from the smallest waffle to the largest waffle (Top to bottom).

You will have to figure out which letters are in the center of each small waffle that would work for each word on the stack.

Hold on to it for now! You will need it after you solve the other puzzles.

Words on the waffles:

1.Men, Ink, Pal, Pen

2.Ode, Amp, End, Use

3. Rap, Hip, Ear, Hen.

From there O before 1, R before 2, and W before 3. Spells “Row”

You’ll have to make two pathways that the car will take through letters until it gets to the end square on the maze. You’ll end up eliminating some letters and the remaining letters will spell a word.

The car can turn at any time, and won’t turn a full 90% (wont turn all the way around) in any given tile. It doesn’t have to go all the way to a boundary before the car can turn.

Try starting at the end of the maze and work your way back to the start.

The right path, marked with yellow, goes from the start and immediately turns right. Goes past the first boundary as it would end up having to turn 90 degrees. And instead goes up and through the “R”

The left path will go straight down from the starting point, loop around to go through the “E” and then back out to the rest of the maze.

Yes, the paths will overlap each other to eliminate specific letters.

The path will go through the “R” to the top left of the start. And will make two loops close to the “T”.

The full right turn car path marked with yellow arrows.

The full left turn car path marked with blue arrows.

The two trails will eliminate letters until you get the word “Valley”.

Right car path is marked in yellow. Left car path is marked in blue.

Start by figuring out each song (feel free to look up the lyrics if you can’t figure out which one they are). It will also be helpful to know what order the lyrics supposed to be in. From there you will have to flip around the radio wave transparency to find which fm station goes to what songs.

Each square of the transparency will contain a letter. Try combinations until you get a letter for each square.

Once you have found those letters, the order in which the lyrics come in the song will tell you what order the letters should be in.

Put them all together and they will spell a message! Note that you will also use the numerical order of the fm stations to help you with putting the message together.

The first song on page one is “Higher Love” by Steve Winwood. The correct radio station is fm 86 and you get the letters I,R,D, H, A, E. Based on the order of the lyrics, the correct order of the letters is H,E,R,A,D, then I.

The second song on page one is “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. The correct radio station is fm 83 and you get the letters V,E,I,D,O,and K. And based on the order of the lyrics, the correct order of the letters is V,I,D,E,O, then K.

The first song on page two is “Like a Virgin” by Madonna. The correct radio station is fm 84 and you get the letters I, E, L, T, D, and L. Based on the order of the lyrics the correct order of the letters is I, L, L, E, D, then T.

The second song on page two is “Never gonna give you up” by Rick Astley. The correct radio station is fm 87 and you get the letters O, W, A, T, H, and ?. And based on the order of the lyrics the correct order of the letters is O,W,H,A,T, then ?.

Solution “Video Killed the radio what?”. And the word you get is STAR.

Based on the words you have ROW, VALLEY, and STAR. What word can you put in front of those three words that works for all three words? Try that in the lock!
