The Lost One- Part 3
This part includes one page, 37 wooden tiles, and 9 spell cards.
When you are done with this part, DO NOT DISMANTLE THE TILES
The monster footprints will be used later – ignore those for this puzzle right now.
Start by examining the spell cards. Is there anything missing on them? Can you figure out which spells these are?
The titles of the spells are the things that are missing. They should be Darkness, Fireball, Flight, Forcefield, Icestorm, Identify, Invisibility, Shrink, and Teleport.
All the tiles have a pair of letters on them, you’ll need to spell out the titles of each spell card and each spell name should create a path from start of the word to the end.
Put together these using the glyph located on the tiles. It will create one connected network of tunnels.
It’s the same shape as the map of the town! Line up the Junkyard with the ladder.
There are 4 tiles with a cave entrance on them. Can you find where those are located in Eagleford?
Each cave has a number on it – find the numbers in the map and put them in order based on the caves (they also read left to right). After you’ve done that, try the numbers in the combination lock.
Teams need to identify the spells found on the 9 spell cards. They are (in alphabetical order) Darkness, Fireball, Flight, Forcefield, Icestorm, Identify, Invisibility, Shrink, and Teleport. Then, teams can use these names to form a pathway on the tiles. Each spell name can be spelled out, two letters at a time, using the tiles. For instance, the spell Darkness will use the tiles that have the letters DA, RK, NE, and SS on them, in that order.
Once the spells are spelled out, the symbols cut in half on the tiles will go together to help form a final layout.
This map matches the layout of the town, with the ladder located where the Junkyard is located pointing to the combination: 1694.
